    The Midwest Section, American Association for Clinical Chemistry, represents the geographic region which includes Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. It was formed to enable its members to more effectively participate in the development and promotion of the policies and programs of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and to contribute to its growth and influence. The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) was founded in New York in 1948. The organization?s purpose was to further public interest by encouraging the study, advancing the science, and improving the practice of clinical chemistry.
