The loose sheet prints a poem by Werner Duggelin. The prints are replications of letters sent by Tinguely to his patron, Maja Sacher. She was the heiress to the Hoffmann-La Roche fortune. The original letters consisted of drawings, collage, handwriting, found objects. The complete collection of drawings is reproduced in the book "Brief von Jean Tinguely an Maja Sacher" that is also held by the Sackner Archive. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Scope and Contents This profusely illustrated book includes a signed drawing executed by one of Tinguely's machines, entitled "meta-matic No.8." It appears to be an original rather then a print subsequently published by the New York Graphic Society in 1975 in an English translation. It is described by Artext on Internet, thusly, "Hulten, K. G. Pontus and Jean Tinguely. JEAN TINGUELY: META. Paris, copyright states 1973 but published in 1974. 363 pp., 519 illus., 34 pp. on transparent paper, 13 color plates. with 6 fold-outs, numerous photos and film frames, 33 1/3 rpm record attached with metal brad to rear pastedown entitled "Sounds belonging to Pontus Hulten's book on Jean Tinguely's work, 'Meta.'." Text by Pontus Hulten. One of a limited edition which includes an original drawing signed by Tinguely, dated on verso, bound in, "peinture executee en collaboration avec metamatic No.8." 4to, pictorial cloth covers, bound as suitcase with lock closure and handle. Original French ed. preceding NYGS ed....

Scope and Contents This is the catalogue for a retrospective exhibition of Boshoff's work. Boshoff writes that his inspiration for concrete poetry was his passion for crossword puzzles. Boshoff writes (page 23) in an lengthy biographical interview with Warren Siebrits the following: In early 1996, I visited the book artist Robbin Silverberg taking with me a silkscreen print of a poem from KYKAFRICAANS to thank her for the hospitality and kindness she showed me. She didn't seem to like it very much, and suggested we take it to show to the artist book dealer Toni Zwicker.Toni was already quite elderly, but it was amazing to see how excited she became about this work from KYKAFRICAANs that I has made 15 years earlier. As it happened, the great American collector, Marvin Sackner, from Miami, visited Toni's home while we were there. He became so enthusiastic that he decided on the spot to buy the original manuscript of the 99 A4 typed pages that constitute KYKAFRICAANS, and invited us to go and visit him...
