Scope and Contents This exhibition was curated by Claudio Parmiggiani. Several books held by the Sackner Archive at one time or another were displayed in this exhibition. These included among others, Cendrars & Delaunay's Transsiberian Railway, Apollinaire's colored copy of the Survage-Lugat catalogue (5/10); Lissitzky & Mayakovsky's For the Voice, Marinetti's Tin Book, Soffici's Bif&+18 (deluxe edition), Lissitzky's Two Squares, Belloli's Solo nel Sole, Mesens & Magritte's Poemes 1923 - 1958, and Depero's Depero Futurista. A page from Flavio Vegezio's "De re Militari," 1523 is reproduced; the typographic layout of using letters for battlefield positions is similar to Eliano De Nomi's book, "Ordini Militari" that is held by the Sackner Archive. The Futurist periodical, Vela Latina, is described on page 303. The content dwells more upon ancient shaped poetry and hermetics than contemporary concrete poetry. The book reproduces several examples of Hebrew religious poems and Kaballah. --...
