Biography
Deborah L. Berry was born September 2, 1958 in Waterloo, Iowa. One of the longest-serving Black legislators in Iowa history, Berry represented District 22 in the Iowa House from 2003-2013 and District 62 from 2013-2017, representing parts of the Waterloo area. Prior to her legislative career, Berry served for two years on the Waterloo City Council. Since 2017, she has been president of KBBG radio station in Waterloo.
