Biography
Chris Cournoyer was born in 1970 in Dallas, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in computer science. She has worked as a technology consultant and self-employed web designer. After serving on the Pleasant Valley school board, Cournoyer ran for the Iowa Senate as a Republican in 2019 and won. She has represented Clinton and parts of Scott county since 2019, serving District 49 from 2019-2023 and District 35 beginning in 2023.
