Biography

Monica Kurth was born in 1950 in Cascade, Iowa. After receiving a bachelors in mathematics from Mount Mercy College and a masters in counseling from Northeast Missouri State, Kurth worked as a youth counselor and taught developmental mathematics at Kirkville Community College. In 2016, Kurth ran for the Iowa House as a Democrat and won. She has represented parts of the Davenport area, serving District 89 from 2017-2023 and District 98 beginning in 2023.
