Biography
Christine Louscher of Algona was one of the interviewers for the Hard Won, Not Done oral history of Iowa Women legislators (IWA 1278). She and other interviewers were drawn from the board of the 50/50 in 2020 organization, which sought to equalize gender representation in Iowa elected offices and which was dissolved in 2020. Louscher has also served on the boards of Horizons Unlimited, a group home in Emmetsburg for adults with intellectual disabilities, and the Autism Society of America, as well as serving as president of the Autism Society of Iowa and a leader of the Iowa Task Force on Autism. Louscher has also served as chair of the Iowa Council on Human Services.
