Biography
Todd Prichard was born in Davenport, Iowa in 1974 to Phil and Delaine Prichard, who owned a carpet cleaning business. Richrad recieved degrees in political science and history from the University of Iowa. An Army ROTC participant and Army Reservist in college, Prichard was commission as an Infantry Lieutenant following his graduation from university. He deployed to Kuwait as part of Operation Desert Spring. On returning to Iowa, Prichard attended law school at the University of Iowa and married teacher Ann Stecher. He practiced law in Charles City and served as Assistant Floyd County Attorney. In 2013, Prichard wona special election to serve district 52 in the Iowa House of Representatives, representing Floyd, Chickasaw, and eastern Cerro Gordo counties. He served the Democratic caucus as minority leader for three legislative sessions, stepping down in 2021.
