Biography
Nicole Gugliotti, a ceramic artist, was born in 1979. Gugliotti’s parents, Italian immigrants, raised their four children in the state of Florida. She completed a BFA at Florida Atlantic University and an MFA with a focus on ceramics at the University of Florida. Gugliotti characterized her work as a socially engaged intersection of craft and reproductive justice. Gugliotti lived abroad in Japan where she continued to practice her art and exhibited work at The Institute of Ceramic Studies a The Shigaraki Ceramic cultural Park in Shigaraki, Japan. Upon her return to the United States, she took a position as an art professor at Tacoma Community College in Olympia, Washington.
