Biography
Diane Finnerty was born in 1960. Finnerty organized a coalition called Families Valued!in Iowa City in the 1990s to provide gay and lesbian single parents and couples an opportunity to discuss family issues they faced and to stand united. By 1997, the coalition’s attendance began dropping, leading to a temporary hiatus. The group was revived in 1999.
