Biography
Born in Des Moines in 1931, Gentleman was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and Northwestern University. A Republican, she represented parts of the West Des Moines area in the Iowa legislature for over 15 years, serving House District 65 from 1975-1979, Senate District 33 from 1979-1983, and Senate District 41 from 1983-1991.
