Mantle was a 3,500 square-foot, site specific installation that included over 60,000 flowers piled on a 48-foot long steel table. Buried within the flowers 30 speakers emitted muffled voices and mechanical noises - the content of this CD. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The cards in this catalogue are samples of the nearly 50,000 paper library cards collected and altered with handwriting and images by community volunteers to create wall surfaces in the new San Francisco Library. The card catalogue was replaced with a computer database.
