To your appeal of 19 September 1985 I take the following position: First study: According to § 4 para. 4 ITA Operating expenses are those expenses that are occasioned by the operation. These operational costs are related strictly to separate from the non-deductible according to § 12 Income Tax Act cost of living. These costs generally include the privacy of the expenses for the dwelling of a taxpayer. The law does, however, exceptionally, the share of expenses for deduction if the apartment also offers sufficient living space for the satisfaction of personal housing needs remains, can appear a locked room in the private house as objectively necessary nature and scope of activity and it is clear that the study as well as only the professional or occupational purpose...

Curated by Mari Carmen Ramirez and Hector Olea who organized this first large-scale overview of the avant-garde in Latin America during the twentieth century. Many Latin American works predated artistic works from Europe and the United States and challenged traditional notions of art and science. the catalogue and exhibition are organized into six conceptual areas or "constellations": Universal and Vernacular: Play and Grief; Progression and Rupture; Vibrational and Stationary; Touch and Gaze; Cryptic and Committed. Leon Ferrari contributed an illustrated essay "The Written Word." The letterhead is Monks Pond. Merton writes Emmett Williams that "All the things you are making happen sound good. Or helping make happen. Yes, visual poetry. I'd like to see that exhibit in Minneapolis. When will it be?" He continues, "I'm starting on some visual stuff. Hasn't loosened up yet but I think it will start to break soon. If only we had some more type here and the monastery printer had more time we could really do something about it." In a postscript, Merton adds a handwritten request, "Could I see a copy of the Bense reader? Looks interesting. Also the MacLow stanzas, as I am doing some, that - & Dieter Rot.
