The texts were found by Dupont from art and philosophical writings and fragmented selections were painted by the artist. The work is a palimpset containing visual symbols, rebuses and text. The sculpture consists of two objects: a large wooden pear (poire in French) and four wooden fonts of apostrophe and S mounted as a cube and also painted white. The pear is placed on top of the cube.
