Scope and Contents

This work depicts simplified line drawings of houses in a village-like setting. Its style is similar to that in Plakat No.3 of Openings Press 1965 (Sackner Archive), which is titled Semiotic Drawing. The borders of the drawing are concave inward. It is one of the earliest drawings done by Furnival. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The catalogue began with an historical introduction to text based works and included reproduced images of 20th century artists whose works are held by the Sackner Archive such as Apollinaire, Marinetti, Sabatier, Indiana, Kriwet, Augusto de Campos, Furnival, Finlay, Gomringer, Klaus-Peter Dienst, and Schuldt. This unique varient copy has the same typewriter poem prints and reel to reel tape by Chopin as the original edition, but the Furnival prints differ and this copy has an embroidered flag by Astrid Furnival that was shown in the "Dorothy" exhibition at Bear Lane Gallery in 1966.
