AUM a mystical Sanskrit sound of Hindu origin (India), sacred and important in various Dharmic religions such as Sanātana Dharma or Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism. The page consists of three separate geometric cubes described by Houedard as "from a series of battledores: poems constructed from complete alphabets." Handwritten documentation next to the upper cube states "suggest using 3 different weights all lower case" and the cube does illustrate three different pressures on the typewriter.The two lower cubes are made with red dots. This book was given to the Sackners by Guy Brett and his friend who are handling the estate of the artist, Li Yuan Chia. Li owned the gallery that published this book (L Y C museum & gallery). The Sackners were told that the book did not sell well and that most of the copies were destroyed. Stefan Themerson wrote the intoductory essay and Houedard the foreward.
