This catalogue prints an extensive interview of Harvey S. Shipley Miller that provides the background as to how the collection was formed. Carl Andre's typed carbon drawing entitled "words men word..." from the collection of Eileen and Michael Cohen (purchased by Shipley Miller) is depicted on page 84 of this catalogue, and is identical to the Sackner typing who have called their piece July 26... after the title at the bottom of the drawing. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The loose sheet prints a poem by Werner Duggelin. The prints are replications of letters sent by Tinguely to his patron, Maja Sacher. She was the heiress to the Hoffmann-La Roche fortune. The original letters consisted of drawings, collage, handwriting, found objects. This work is Andre Thomkins (1930-1985) Fluxus take on the rotating text generator game. This is a machine that consists of 10 hexagonal cards, each with 12 words that are common in each of three languages, German, English and French (there are 48 German-French, 60 German-English and 12 German-French-English words. The hexagons pivot on a plane and form phrases in three directions on the hexagonal roof. They can even be arranged differently on the 10 slots, so that the number of combinations can further increase. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

This poster was hung in the most important exhibition of concrete poetry in its time. The numbering scheme used to classify the posters is based upon the pages of the exhibition catalogue with the same title. In this case, the poster was not depicted in the catalogue and the page reference is to Thomkins' biography. The poem is arranged in a rectangular grid in large capital letters.
