She lives in Rio de Janeiro, and her work, characterized by the use of different media, is held by galleries and private collections in the USA, China, Brazil and Europe. Geiger first graduated in literature and language, and later in the 1950s, studied art at Rio's Instituto Fayga Ostrower.
