Biography
Founded in 1905 by Alonzo E. Wilson, the Lincoln Chautauqua Bureau operated out of Chicago. In 1917, there were two circuit chautauquas operated by Wilson under the banner of Lincoln Chautauquas: the National Lincoln Chautauqua System out of Chicago and Lincoln Chautauquas out of Atlanta, Georgia. Wilson remained president of both.
