These letters were received by Helen Braden Bryan after an oration she delievered on March 15th and 16th, 1946 and the State Forensic Meet of Iowa Colleges help at Co College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Title of presentation, "I Don't Want to Marry a G.I." After winning at Coe College, she went on to compete at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois where she got into the final rounds but failed to place in the finals. Reports of her presentation were picked up by national newspapers including "The Stars and Strips."
