The Janet Croft Collection contains science fiction materials from the 20th and early 21st centuries, with a heavy focus on Star Trek and Star Wars. The first two series comprise academic journals on the study of science fiction: Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts and Science Fiction Studies. Issues of the magazine Science Fiction Age can be found in a series of the same title. The 'Comics' series includes an incomplete run of issues from Star Trek: The Next Generation, the Alien series comics, and other miscellanious works. The 'Ephemera' series includes materials from Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars, E.T., and other fandoms, as well as four issues from Futures Past: A Visual Guidebook to Science Fiction History.
