The culinary manuscript, possibly Irish, has 40 pages of which 35 are written Recipe from the Dublin Journal is dated June 1824. Recipes include: to cure tongue, scotch eggs, green pea soup, to cure two hams, marinade chicken or rabbit, stewed loin of lamb, oyster sauce with cream, white sauce for fricassee, tomato suace, etc.

Bound pamphlet, no cover. Includes loose photocopied page with the label: "There is a recipe from the Dublin Journal dated June 1824." and notes in pencil on tissue paper between each page, mostly titles of recipes.
