Mary Jennara Wenk was an active member of the Star Trek and Star Wars fan communities of the time, attending conventions, collecting fan art, and engaging in lively correspondence with other fans, as well as creating award-winning content for fanzines. This collection represents her active lifestyle, containing a number of Star Trek zines, a sizable stack of fan art--including a painting done by surprise artist Hal Clement--correspondence, convention material, and an impressive collection of 3D objects. This last category notably includes a pair of ears worn on the set by Leonard Nimoy (and the Barbie purse in which they were delivered), three handmade dolls, a hand-carved shell, and two Starfleet Academy class rings.
