Scope and Contents
Ballots, tabluations, releases, and publications having to do with the Iowa Poll. Also includes the Metro Poll and some other polls as well.
The Iowa Poll was started in 1943 - the first state public opinion poll in the United States - and has operated continuously until today. Using a sampling method, the poll is meant to measure ". . .public opionion on questions of special importance to Iowa, and will poll only residents of the state." The poll measures everything from who is likely to win presidential races to who is the least favorite celebrity to how many households in Iowa want a deep freezer.
These are organized by poll number, which follow a chronological order.
