  • Abstract

    Nearly 200 pieces of sheet music for popular songs, organized topically (Transportation, Tear Jerkers, War, Religious, Love, etc.). The pieces range in date from 1840 to 1968, but the bulk of the collection was published between 1861 and 1915.

    The Ada Holding Miller sheet music collection is a collection of some 200 pieces, dating from 1840 to 1968. The songs are divided into groups according to subject matter.

  • Method of Acquisition

    This collection was donated to the University of Iowa Libraries in 1975 by Ada Holding Miller and her daughter, Elizabeth Miller Richards. Further donations were made by Ms. Miller's granddaughter, Susan Koelb, in 1977.
