Scope and Contents From the Collection: At the time of the gift, Dunn wrote, "I . . .amassed [during the 1980s] a significant collection of audio cassettes from the 'Home Taper' underground movement. These are tapes made by committed amateur musicians and sound artists that were self-published and self-distributed in editions numbering anywhere from 1 to perhaps a few hundred copies." The collection includes two boxes of videotapes and a number of small art works which incorporate audio cassettes. Boxes 1-14 contain audio cassettes,Viedo boxes 1 and 2 contain video tapes and document Boxes 1-3 contain paper based materials. The collection is arranged by format, since housing the different formats made this desirable. Series I, the largest series, contains audio cassettes.
