From the Collection:

The Carl E. Seashore papers, 1889-1957, contains publication reprints, correspondence, photos, and other ephemera regarding Carl E. Seashore's career as a psychology professor and academic administrator at the University of Iowa. The earliest materials include lecture notes from his time as a student at Gustavus Adolphus College. The majority of the collection is reprints of Seashore's publications, arranged alphabetically by title.

Notably, this collection contains recordings from multiple editions of the "Seashore Measures of Musical Talent," one of the first talent assessments to gain world-wide recognition.
