Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Heather Heddens papers date from 1945 to 2018 and measure 7.5 linear inches in 2 boxes. The papers are arranged in two series: Basketball and Artifacts.
The Basketball series (1945-2005) includes programs from the Iowa girls’ basketball championship, both when she was a player and an observer, along with materials on her high school basketball coach Vernon “Bud” McLearn, photographs of Heddens and her team, and newspapers featuring stories about 6 on 6 basketball.
The Artifact series (undated) is made up of a pair of Heddens’ old basketball Converse shoes.
