The North Madison Happy Pals 4-H Club scrapbooks date from 1952 to 1979 and measure 12.25 linear inches. There are seven volumes. They are the official club scrapbooks and include photographs of members and events, newspaper clippings from the Oskaloosa Herald and the New Sharon Star, club minutes, secretary and treasurer records, programs, and awards. A useful source on the experience of children in rural areas, the scrapbooks also illuminate societal expectations for young girls.
