Scope and Contents
The Dorothy Fox Wurster papers date from 1942 to 1987 and measure 2 linear inches. The bulk of the collection consists primarily of three 4-H record books: the boys' Monroe Livewires Club, the girls' Monroe Busy Bee Club, and a hobby record book of a four-leaf clover collection. In addition, there are photocopies of published stories about Dorothy Fox Wurster, and autobiographical stories and sketches that she wrote during or about this period. The story "The Fair Barn" was published in Iowa Barn in 2001. There is also a copy of the testimony she delivered to the U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee Hearings in Underwood, Iowa, 1987. There are numerous black and white photographs in the record books and loose photographs in the final folder.
