Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The Irene Rock Zindel papers date from 1930 to 1998 and measure 2.5 linear inches. The papers are arranged alphabetically, and consist of Zindel's 4-H personal record books, newspaper clippings about rural Scott County women, and two photographs which show Farm Bureau women making trays and fireless cookers. All the women in the photographs are identified. The "Beat Your Own Record" personal record books are ledgers for personal accounting and teach 4-H girls to spend money wisely. The format of the ledgers changed in 1936 and was called "My Personal Accounts."
