The Elise Boddicker Schallau papers date from 1980 to 1998 and consist of four audiotapes of interviews with Elise Boddicker Schallau and a copy of the transcription, “My Life in the 20th Century: The Autobiography of Elise Boddicker Schallau, 1913-1997.”

Biographical / Historical
Elise Boddicker Schallau (1913-1997), was born and raised in Iowa. Her daughter, Mona Anne Guerrant, and granddaughter, Cathy Schallau Roeder, conducted interviews with her from 1980 to 1982, and later transcribed these interviews to create the memoir, “My Life in the 20th Century: The Autobiography of Elise Boddicker Schallau, 1913-1997.”
