Wynonna Griffith Hubbard was an Arfican-American woman originally from Valley Junction, Iowa. Her husband, Philip G. Hubbard, established a scholarship in her name at the University of Iowa. The award is given to an African-American woman who is a full-time student at the University of Iowa and demonstrates an unusual interest in the well-being of others.
