Biographical / Historical

Lois Plummer Hartline was born in 1931 to Clifford and Opal Johnson Plummer. She grew up in Des Moines and entered the State University of Iowa, now the University of Iowa, College of Nursing in 1953. She worked as a full-time school nurse until 1959 and substituted until 2004. Hartline established a scholarship at the College of Nursing in 2019.
