Scope and Contents

The text in Italian and Ligurian has its title taken from Joyce's Finnegan's Wake. The recto depicts a large eye collaged from newspapers of several languages and states "The eye is the hand that catches the world and gives it back to the word from which has come into being writing." The verso has collaged images of nudes and the text, "I am carving the running of signs; I am carving here on my mind the running of signs; I am carving here on my mind the running of signs, the running of signs. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
