The maquette on which this multiple is based is also held by the Sackner Archive. This work, which was part of a portfolio entitled, "New York International" was assembled in a box designed by the Sackners. The hand painted stones in this multiple and the maquette differ. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
