Scope and Contents

These three offset lithographs were published by the Stedelijk Museum after the 1964 acrylic on canvas painting in their collection. The images are typical of Lichtenstein's early Pop Art style of borrowing comic strip art as a basis for paintings with backgrounds of Ben Day dots. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
