Scope and Contents
Finlay indicated that "I am almost sixteen and I hope to be an artist." He provides information on his current artistic interests. He closes with "If you could write me very shortly telling me whether in your opinion I should drop out of art school do my abstracts and creative work or whether I should do my academic work."
