Scope and Contents
This sixty-fifth page is titled "Trying to Rekindle Dante." There are many collaged and stenciled elements on this page and handwritten texts by Phillips. The collage on the left hand side advertises "The Dante Heater." Beneath it Phillips has written "Graphic element snipped by John XXIV/XII/LXXXVIII." Scattered on the page are torn pieces of prints from Phillips' Dante. On the right side is a card from a restaurant in Honfleur, France. On it Phillips has written the following: "Yet another sculptural event in Bretagne under the aegis of Yves Bonce. This time an ' animation' instead of a 'manifestation' in the library of Le Havre....Such is France. Took it in with Sylvia on the way back from delivering globes in Paris but was somewhat cheated in that the promised "Livre des Journees TP' was not in fact ready. Nice lunch at Honfleur." The painted stenciled text at the bottom of the page reads "The Kiss of lIfe =The Kiss of Death." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
