Scope and Contents
This sixty-seventh page contains a typed letter by Phillips to Kees Kasander of Dante B.V. in Amsterdam in response to Kasander's letter of January 26, 1990 informing him of discontinuing the TV Dante project. That letter was collaged onto page 66. Phillips begins his letter "Dear Kees, Your charmless letter astounds me. The principle reason for continuing with a TV Dante must be that it has some real quality...I am not in the least interested in plots and intrigues and power politics and personality struggles. Since a TV Dante is in essence my project I just want to get on with the work that was so well started and could be further enriched with the ideas of other creative minds and talents." On the right hand side of the page, Phillips writes of meetings and letters and telephone calls to try to get the project back on track. He also mentions that TV Dante may be shown on Channel 4. The right hand side of the page also contains references to cricket with a painted green stencilled line "Dante keeps a straight bat...." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
