Looking with Ruth Sackner at drawing called Speaking in Tongues which I made in 1980 & which they acquired in 1981 had extraordinary sense of deja vu in that the drawing seemed to encapsulate the aesthetic of a TV Dante even to the extent of the 'soft border' at the bottom of the inside frame.When I got back I looked through the booklet & found also the figures of the drawing itself seemed to recur in the still from Canto IV, itself surrounded by letters. XXI.XI.XC."
