This eighty fourth page consists of Phillips' visit to Bayreuth and return to London describing the new developments with TV Dante. Phillips writes "June/July XCI. Lucy has finally sorted out & collated the copies of Inferno. John Duffin only finished the printing in April - how long has it been & the book still costing money & losing money! But a real sense of satisfaction to know how things stand at last.. Forty copies. I made Lucy collate one for herself. July XX It now seems certain that a TV Dante is to be the Ch 4 entry to the Italia prize: Oona gave first word when she was asked to do French subtitles for it. Then Ken Thompson mentioned it. A nice irony that they are proud of the project." On August XV Phillips writes that he had supper with Michael K. at the Caprice and he writes " Keep thinking that Dante news can get no worse But it can, it can.
