Scope and Contents
The original poems describing fabulous (imaginative) beasts were composed by De La Tour Du Pin. Jean Lucat created 14 illustrations of the beasts that were colored by Edmond Vairel. The calligrames (shaped poems) for each animal that uses the text of the poems with the shape of the animals was done by Jules Dominique Morniroli. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
