This poster depicts photographic changes of the same site on the streets of Pankow from 1978 to 1980. Wikipedia: Manfred Butzman was born September, 1942 in Potsdam. After his father's death in 1945 Manfred Butzmann grew Eutzsch with relatives on a farm. 1955 his mother took him back to Potsdam, where he attended high school and then took off the 1961 high school. During this time he took drawing lessons already. After high school he attended from 1961 to 1964 trained as a Offsetretuscheur in Berlin and Potsdam. Besides, he worked in Malzirkel of Magnus Zeller in Caputh. From 1964 to 1969 Manfred Butzmann graphics studied at art school in Berlin-Weissensee at Arno Mohr, Werner Klemke and Klaus Wittkugel . 1988 to 1993 he was a guest lecturer. After getting married to the landscape architect Eva Butzmann 1966 the couple moved into an apartment on Park Road 36 in Berlin-Pankow . In 1966, the daughter Iris was born in 1972 and 1983 Charlotte Johanna. From 1970 he worked as a freelance graphic artist, first as a book illustrator. From 1973 to 1977 he was a master student at the Academy of Fine Arts (Berlin) by Werner Klemke. The master student studies were interrupted in 1976 when Manfred Butzmann had reserve duty in the NVA. Inspired by the dreariness of barracks life was the etchings impressions. He then worked as a book illustrator and cover designer, created since 1977 but also prints and watercolors, photo posters and postcards. In 1971, he designed the posters for his shows as offset lithography itself, usually they were printed in the Berlin print Graetz. After 1976, he participated in numerous plein air part where met many artists in the plein air painting. 1989/90 he worked at the Commission of Inquiry on the police brutality on 7 and 8 October 1989 in Berlin. [1] He then worked on several projects. In 1991 he was awarded the Käthe Kollwitz Prize of the Academy of Arts, 1993 Third Prize for his design for a memorial to the book burning in Berlin and in 1999 Ferdinand von Quasi Medal of the Berlin Landesdenkmalamt -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
