Scope and Contents
This is the maquette for the poster of Furnival's exhibition in the Cairn Gallery 1994, The Locative Case: Typographical Drawings, a work also held by the Sackner Archive. Newby, a student of Furnivals has utilzed word imagery to characterize Furniva personality. His hair is formed by "Ha Ha," forehead by "fine line," eyes by "lets play" and "lets pray," upper lip by 'British Spirit," and chin by "chinny rub." The drawing is stored with the Furnival material. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
