Scope and Contents
This catalog depicts Kuhn's "Babylon," a work in which she inscribed 48 60 x 60 cm plexiglas sheets with white paint - 24 each with the word or character for "Man" or "Woman" in the various alphabets of the world. Twelve sheets were mounted in front of each other to produce four transparent blocks in which the two genders overlap to create an expressive image. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
