Scope and Contents

These picture poems with text by Wilbur and images by Drescher are reminiscent of the picture poems of Kenneth Patchen who also utilized surrealistic images of conjured-up creatures. However, Drescher uses a combination of handwritten and words cut from printed material whereas Patchen used solely his own handwriting for the text of the poems. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
