Scope and Contents

The book was designed, printed and handbound by Johnson. The illustrations, based on the original style of Thomas Tenniel, the original illustrator of Alice in Wonderland, were recreated by Yvonne van Rietschoten. The letters were written by Lewis Carroll a.k.a. C.L. Dodgson and printed with a computor by the author. Twenty-six letters were chosen addressed to 26 people in alphabetical order of their first name. Each letter of the alphabet with an illustration is printed on the outside of each envelope page. This book was awarded the Bienes Book prize at the Broward County public library. Marvin Sackner served as one of three jurors in this selection. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.
