Scope and Contents This polemic deals with the reprecussions of the arrests of d.a. levy and James Lowell on obscenity charges (among others). The previous note is doubtful. "F.lli Ferrero di Riccardo" refers to vintner brothers, and "Aperitivo Ferrero" an aperitif cocktail. Written in the corner is "Barrachi & C.," which may refer to a winery of the same name in Tuscany.

In a personal communication from Jeff Maser, 16 (including the Sackner copy) of the 45 copies have been located. The letter from Jeffrey Weinberg of Water Row Books offers a notebook by Charles Crumb to Marvin Sackner. The covers and eight pages are reproduced as photocopied colored sheets. These depict obsessive dense, linear calligraphic markings as well as scattered cartoon-like head portraits. In this book, Diacono provides a parody of Stephan Mallarme's "Un Coup de Des." Diacono introduces the poem that he designates "a metrica n'aboolira with cartoons. He then cancells the 1914 layout with blue and orange colored rectangles to bring out its constructivistic presentation. Diacono's book predates the more famous cancelled text treatment by Marcel Broodthaers, a work also held by the Sackner Archive, that was published in 1969. -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

The back cover design was done by Wally Depew. Book includes all arrest & trial news articles, (5 inlaid Kryss silkscreens of the original book are not included), critques by levy's peers, comments by 40 of his friends and fellows, including Bukowski, Blazek, Richmond, et al. All major works of levy printed to date are included: CLEVELAND UNDERCOVERS, NORTH AMERICAN BOOK OF THE DEAD, RECTAL EYE VISOONS, PRAPS 1 AND KIBBUTZ IN THE SKY. According to rjs' introduction, 25 signed copies with extra pages were to be produced. The Sackners are unaware that this special edition was ever published.
