Committed to the production and dissemination of systems art, CAYC was established as a multidisciplinary workshop in August of 1968. A collection of large scale works (each about 22 x 34 inches) was assembled in 1972 by Jorge Glusberg, CAYC Director, as an edition of 10 that circulated as traveling exhibitions. Apparently including about 72 works in 1972, the collection grew over time and the Iowa collection now consists of 143 diazo prints and appears to be the only extant copy. The collection includes a linear foot of catalogues, documentation, books and pamphlets, dating from 1970 to 1980 and a complete set of black and white photographs from which online images were derived.

The four books making up this exhibition catalog, which in itself can be classified as an artist book, comprise the topics, Sculpture, Artist and Process, Related Objects, and Bookworks. The latter includes Marvin Sackner's critical essay, "Who Says Thirteen Is Unlucky?" The theme of several of the pieces in the exhibition is Satin's adaptation of John Cage, Jasper Johns and Merce Cunningham's collaborative work, "Dancers on a Plane." -- Source of annotation: Marvin or Ruth Sackner.

Correspondence spanning over 40 years and three generations of an Iowa farm family. Subjects include land speculation, farming in Bremer, Blackhawk, and Woodbury counties, farm life in Iowa during the 19th century, and W.W.I.

Cedar Rapids business people and collectors who donated their silver collection to the University of Iowa Museum of Art. This collection is made up of a series of correspondence and inventories of the Elliotts' library.

Mostly programs from Chicago theaters; others are from St. Louis, New York, London, Des Moines, Iowa, Central City, Colorado, Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and various other places.
